1967 GP Convertible 428 H.O. Restoration

The bones don't look too bad. Those Ferrari Testa Rossa style side gills are pretty incongruous.

I realize haven't posted much here on the progress. Frame was powder coated but I am not 100% happy with the results so not posting those photos yet. Suspension - ran into a bit of a snafu after finding one of the upper front control arms was bent to the point I decided to find another control arm to properly press bushings. Being a B body, I was surprised that the upper control arms are not more robust than A Bodies. There is other progress and will post more shortly.

The original YK - 9786135 engine bottom half redone with "zero decked" block, .040 over with Racetec forged pistons, Howard forged I beam rods, ARP studs, factory steel crank, and Howard's Cam. I insisted on sourcing as much as possible to be US made.

ah, the old in ground hydraulic lift!
Those were neat to use, especially the twin piston you have. |
