Default Convertible top piston cylinder bolt removal

Does anyone know if the convertible piston cylinders can be unbolted from lift arm mechanism without problems (one bolt). I am concerned about pressure and not getting them hooked back up after I finish my top replacement. I'm not unhooking lines. I want to be able to manually maneuver for checking new top as I finish.
