Regulator
I installed a carter m4566 fuel pump and then had the carb flooding issue..I checked the pressure and it was 10 psi. So instead of changing the pump and having the same issue I am going to install the holley regulator. Can a regulator be installed without the mounting bracket because with the Power Steering there isn’t enough room just above the pump and if I put it just after the filter It will work but I can’t find a way to use the bracket.. 65 Tripower

I had the same issue with my 65 GTO tripower. I ordered the regulator kit from John at pontiactripower.com. The problem with the 65 tripower is there is really no place to mount the regulator. I talked to John and he agreed. I had to make a bracket to mount the regulator. If you go to his web site and click on 65 tripower parts, and then click on the kit he sells. Scroll down on the pictures and you will see my setup with the bracket I made. The first set of pics are on 66 tripower.
I can see the gauge while in the car with my hood open. Dave |

Thanks for the reply, I did see your bracket but I have the other bracket for the alternator so not sure if I will have the room. I’ll take another look.

I have a slightly different setup, but with the RobbMC mechanical fuel pump and his non bypass regulator sitting In between timing cover. It’s tight but short hoses hold it in place just fine.

Thanks for the reply and the pictures. I will also have very short hoses between metal lines so it’s good to hear that it will work without a bracket.
