I have often wondered where the 63 SD wagon went that was ran out of Al Hodges dealership Cocoa, Fl. I grew up in this area and have drag raced since the early 80's. He also had a couple of SD Catalinas. Back then the closest drag strip (and very popular) was Bithlo, Fl (suburb of Orlando). As a kid I recall watching front end dragsters run there in the mid 60's. Heard stories about some "funny looking Pontiac exhaust manifolds" from a high performance machine shop I frequented in the 80's. Was never able to track anything down. McCarthys first book has the names of the crew that worked/ran that wagon. Often thought about seeing if any of them are still around. However these days they probably are not still with us.

According to a guy who posted on Facebook about a 62 SD Catalina his brother had, someone they knew had bought the Al Hodges 63 SD wagon, they lived in North or South Carolina, he wasn't 100% sure but didn't think the car still survived,

I moved in May from the Pontiac area to just east of Lansing (ie, closer to grandkids).

I'll have to take a trip over to Scott's place and see what's going on.
