This is that cars' third appearance on the forum, first as a CL ad, then on facebook, and now.
It must be in sad shape to have lasted this long. James Q

Congrats Diego! Super cool Pontiac! Can't wait to see more pictures of another 428 4-speed Catalina. That thing is only an 068 cam and long branch manifolds away from an HO! 3.42 rear gears I imagine?

I believe you're correct about the gears.

Once my broken ankle heals, I'll be able to drive it. :-)

How long is that going to be Diego?

I don't know. For all I know, I'll be using a cane during the Drags. It's a slow process.

Congrats
Diego-
Congratulations on your purchase! Sorry to hear of your broken ankle. All the more reason to have a healthy recovery! Dennis has set the bar high with his car. I can't wait to see what you do with yours! The color combination is striking and timeless! Jim |

I used to own a 4-4-2. Been carless for 6-7 years. Then this popped up. It's my style because I like the unusual, but it's not my forever car. The things it needs are perfect for my limited abilities, as I am a dummy with working on cars. I am not planning on having a restoration like Dan's Verdoro Green car, but let's see how far I get with restoring the body and the interior, and maybe more. At the very least, it was something that was 6 hours away, and I knew I could give it a good home vs. someone else buying it and pulling the engine and junking the car. At this point its life will only get better. First I need to buy tools (and I need the money for that), and I know there are people locally and online who can answer questions for me. Best of all, it seem the best thing about the car is that it runs fine. |

No, this is the 375 hp 428, but still a great engine with big valve #16 heads, 067 cam, and 10.75 advertised compression. Basically, an HO with a smaller cam and log exhaust manifolds. (Sorry to speak for you Diego!)
