Default 63 lemans rear end

Looking for a higher geared rear end for an automatic lemans. I have access to a 3.30 gear but a 3.50-3.70 would work better for my setup. Anyone have any? Thanks

Contact Ken Glades at kengaldes@gmail.com

He used to own / operate East / West Auto Parts and is pretty knowledgeable about what is available. Good Luck with this and let us know how it turns out.

Do you know what the gear ratio is or have the letter located on the right side? Where are you located?

I don't know the rear gear but they usually had freeway gears in the 2sp automatics.

If he’s referring to my old rear end it was a very original 91,000 mile 1963 Le Mans 326 2barrel with a 2 speed auto. I don’t remember the rear ratio but imagine someone here could tell you what the car would have come with. It was still working great when it was removed.

The 3.30 is higher geared than the 3.50 or the 3.70. The lower the number the higher the gear.
