1970-1972 convertible- project? Clone?
Beginning to “slowly” look for a 1970 GTO convertible… don’t have an enormous amount to spend, so I may go the route of a clone…
I found a real 1970 GTO… however, there’s rust/ rot on the lower sections of the panels, non numbers, seized engine, needs a top for $17k… which I feel maybe too much..,? Hence, if I can find a decent 70-72, I can go the clone route. Thank you!!!!

17k might be a good deal depending on how complete it is. If all it needs is body panels, paint/body work, a new motor and a new top, then that sounds pretty fair.
Probably any project car is going to need new seats carpet and top. As well as paint and engine. You can easily get 30k in a project (clone or not) Just my opinion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looking at craigslist Los Angeles under auto parts after searching Pontiac this evening, I see a 1970 GTO convertible 4 speed car for $26,000. looks too good to be true in the pics but may want to take a look just in case . Not mine and nobody I know so as always... beware.
