Default 74 GTO Rim question

Does any body know the correct Offset and backspacing for 15x7 Pontiac rally wheels that will fit my 74? I tried the 17" route and it has been a big headache, just want to go back to 15x7 and be done with it

I believe the backspacing on my 15x7's are 4.25 that are on my 74 GTO. I have never measured the my original 14x6's to see what they were originally.

John, what size tires are you running? Any clearance issues?

My back tires are 245/60's. I don't have any clearance issues with them. I don't believe I could fit a wider rear tire back there with this particular backspacing. My fronts are 215/65's.

When i had Rally II's on mine, i ran 235-60 and they rub a little on the lip, so i trimmed it a bit. My Rallys were 4.25 also, i recently put 15x7 Torq thrust D's and with a 3.75 backspace they rubbed bad. The tire issue on my Ventura has drove me up the wall so i pulling the motor and trans and putting it in my heavier Trans Am.
235-60 with 215-70-15 on front.
