Bob,

I was told they were in fact 373s but I will have to double check...
Would you trust the ol count how many times the rear wheel turns
to the one turn of driveshaft or do you have another way you would
prefer?
I will count them out Monday

The side moulding on this car is body shop cheap stick on from the 80s
Not original.. Not sure if they had any side moulding on these cars.

thanks
James

reading the numbers off the ring gear is the only positive way,but if the difference between 3.73 and 2.73 you should be able to tell by counting driveshaft too tire rotation.but if it is a 3- something it could confuse you.

If it's in the 3 range then its worth digging further.. don't want to make more work for myself.

I checked the rear gear yesterday by marking the wheel and turning it.. it's not a posi.
and the rear wheel turned .75 of a turn to the one turn of the driveshaft..

I don't know much about rear ends so I don't know what that means.

thanks
James

Default 68 convertible trim

Hi I was wondering about the trim that goes around the INSIDE of the windshield. These are the ones that along the top of the w/s where the rear view mirror goes. What shape are they in and can you provide picts & pricing? thanks

I'm having some issues getting the hood to open the secondary latch is stuck... a real pain.. but anyway I started to remove the valence to gain access... and it is in real good shape...

Just the bare valence? with hardware.. $100.00 plus shipping... will need to box it find out
how much it would cost. Or you could pick it up.

thanks

I looked at them Sunday... they are not rusty at all and no dents. I have not taken them
out yet but I may this weekend.

$40.00 for the pair... OBO. plus shipping.

Pulled the hood and fenders yesterday.
Hood and hinges are in great shape..

Fenders... well thats another story... I would only use them for collision repair..
The have filler work done the the rear lower section... and in some other areas also.

The valance panel was a pain to remove.. some of the tabs bent but will be easy to fix.

The inner fender wells seam to be well preserved.

James,

I will take these:
Grilles no cracks from what I can tell. 50.00 pr
Vent window frame chrome. Super nice.. 150.00 pr
(Is this the whole vent window assembly?)

Probably will take these, but how is the pot metal?
Tail lights with lenses 35.00 pr

Also am interested in price/condition for these:
Trim at top of fenders (Pot metal near windshield)
1/4 window molding (Pot metal between front and rear side windows)
PS Mirror
Front Chrome beak (In center of the bumper)
Rear wheel well moldings
Glove box lock/key. Trunk set too if it is a matched set
Steering wheel (color?)
PS front turn signal lens (in valence. It looks like the DS may be missing on your car?)

I haven't looked into the gas gauge problem yet, but maybe a speedo cluster or sending unit may be needed.

Would like individual prices, but a nice package price on the whole deal would be appreciated. Don't worry about shipping costs for now until we sort this all out.

Thanks,
