Thanks, and thanks for the other replies. I've emailed about the 65 Ventura in Hickory, still waiting for a reply. White is not my favorite color either on these cars.

The guy with the Ventura in Hickory called me back today. It's a 2 owner NC car, originally a white car, now painted Carolina Blue. He claims it is super solid, but has a minor amount of rust about to bust through. He claimed the interior had all just been redone, except for the steering wheel. New tires, brakes, etc. and runs out great.

I don't think I could stomach the Carolina Blue color, and by the time I had it painted, found some 8 lugs, did the bumpers and rear tailpanel,' I'd be so upside down in it and it's still just a base 65 Catalina Ventura, 2bbl, auto. Think I'll pass on this one.

Looks like the GP is your best bet based on the choices shown here.

Yes I texted him with some questions, that's when he replied 'ok'. I emailed him back and he responded back this morning saying he would answer the questions I had. I sent him an email back with the questions and haven't heard back from him. Either he doesn't want to answer the questions or doesn't want to sell the car.

I finally got up with him and drove over Saturday afternoon. I was a long 3 hour drive in which if we made 1 turn on to a different road then we made 30! It was one of those deals where 'you can't get there from here'. Anyway after a little negotiation we loaded it on the trailer and brought it back home.

Needs a lot of little things, and it's not as slick as it might appear.

Little things are easier to deal with. At least you have something good to start with.
Congrats
