There is recent one year ebay history of survivor Esprits in the 15-17K range (sub 100K cars though). So I tend to agree with FormulaBruce. There are many people on this site that would not pay more than 13K but the wider ebay market is the actual place to gauge. Not sure how long the "completed" listings show when you do an advanced search but you can try that.

Very nice. I love the "oddness" of the Desert Sand paint.
Not sure why, but it seems that'73 Esprit's don't bring quite as much ka-ching as '70-72's. Maybe it's because of the dreaded EGR valve?
But I'd say that if you got it for less than $12K, you did well.

Subscribing.

GR8 thread 2 Many! Interesting to so many survivors that were daily drivers in the millions that are hardly seen today.

Love the original wheel covers, trim, etc.

Could this be the "ultimate" Creampuff?

http://www.cars-on-line.com/78003.html

I'm guessing it's a base bird that somebody put a plastic hood on.....

It kinda reminds me of the Green Hornet.....

A bit of a stripper.....I see p/s and p/b......roof drip, wheel opening and door banger mouldings....Rally gauges with clock....AM radio and floormats....

The wheels look like Y99's which would NOT be part of any base bird OR ESprit...

So the hood and wheels/tires have obviously been added....and paint almost looks too nice for original factory issue, doesn't it?...

Definitely NOT a "girly" creampuff.

Engine is a 350....note the air pump on the right......

And WHAT did they spray on EVERYTHING under the hood.....?

The firewall looks like it has short fur growing on it......and I don't even want to think about that stuff.... which is prolly covering EVERYTHING underneath.....

I guess I've turned this into a "friendly" shark tank.....but I'm NOT trashing it....

Other than the undercoating job....I like EVERYTHING about it.....

Wonder if the seller will take a a trade-in on MY "creampuff"

I thought it was a fuzzy picture until I saw the sharper definition air cleaner....... it confused my brain (not hard to do at times).....

You forgot the Concealed Wiper's???....

would love to get up close and personal, if this thing is as "untouched" as the seller claim's, then it most definitely would be shining example of to properly assemble a 73 Firebird.....would love to see more pix....

kinda reminds me of that low mile Burgundy 73 Esprit that came out of the San Diego area few years back.....

I don't post on here too much anymore.
But I know this car and at the risk of offending internet clowns, the car is 100% original and in fact one of the nicest original 'birds I've seen. So the doubters should move onto another target.

I have a feeling this post was directed @ me.....

SO....at the risk of being BLUNT.......put your build sheet where your mouth is.....

If that nice Firebird came from the factory....with 15" wheels and and a W66 hood....I WILL assume the position of "internet clown".

OR....perhaps it is a REAL W66....that somebody removed the "small block" Formula emblems from....prior to the respray.....but there is NO mention of FORMULA in the listing......just says Firebird...

Let's clear the air on this.....

Don't know if I ever told you but your (used to be mine) gold car was just listed as a firebird.
