Default 57 Chieftain tandem master cylinder

Looking to see if anyone has upgraded to a tandem/dual master cylinder in the stock location keeping the manual drum brake system. Wanting to know if there is a master cylinder out there without much or any fabrication to stock location on frame. I would be interested in any information, even if fabrication is the only option. Thanks in advance for replies.

See the thread http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=765343 . He has installed a dual master in a 56, perhaps he can get you the information you need.

I would hope you'd put the damned thing anywhere but where the factory put it! I'm kinda short [5'9"] and trying to reach back under the firewall with my short arms has always been a struggle for me. I hate to say it but Chevy had a better idea..
