That does seem cheap.
Wonder how Glenn is doing?

Lots of work went into that.

GLWS, Glenn.

Used Race cars bring .20-.25 cents on the dollar for the actual parts and pieces invested in the build. Zero dollars for all the R&D, blood, sweat, labor, and failures along the way. Seems the better the car, the lower % return on investment. He has a very nice car, same chassis builder we had do considerable work on the Boss Bird. The builder has done work on many current Top fuel and Funny Car team cars. I hope Glen is well and this would be a great opportunity for someone looking for a really unique, sorted out, high end dragster.

All true but 20 grand (asking) still seems like a bargain even if it wasn't Poncho powered.

Wouldn't the engine alone be pretty darn near the asking price?

The sad part is that Greg is right about the value of a used race car.
The good thing is that someone can get an excellent FE dragster that’s already been sorted out for cheap money. It’s a beautiful car!

I doubt very seriously you could build that engine Injector to oil pan for 20K with used parts. Doesn't matter. I don't think you could build that car from scratch to the quality level and performance for 100K. That's where the .20-.25 cents per dollar comes from. It would be a smoking deal for the right Pontiac lover. Beautiful car.

He did not get a chance to run it all that much. Seems like yesterday he was posting about the rail and all his upgrades. Hope he is well, price dropped 5K just like that.

Aluminum block, blower, etc. the engine should be worth that?

Hope all is ok with Glenn. I think people are seeing the end of racing. This is my personal opinion but slowly we have seen tracks closing over the years. Hope I don’t get in trouble for this but saw this two days ago on Facebook https://www.facebook https://www.fac...m/marketplace/. Sorry my link did not work but a member Jim Zeek 1969 GTO is up for sale for $85,000

He'll never see 85 grand. Probably won't even see half of that.

I can tell you from experience you can't build that car for the asking price. The engine alone from hat to oil pan would be in the ballpark of the asking price. I stopped counting the receipts on my funny car when they got to $40K.

Brian, Glenn has been toying with that FED for a long time. It started out N/A, then a few years ago Glenn put the huffer on it. He's been perfecting that car for years.

I was going along the premise that he said he didn't know about this FED, by Glenn.
I thought of that thread and posted it.

What is strange is that he posted in that thread many times.
