Default Wiper motor

Ok trying to help out a fellow PY'R

He was looking for a wiper motor for his 73 ,,,I had a wiper that I wasn't using from my 73 I had replaced mine due to leaking pump housing...

His is the first pic mine is the second ...why the difference in position of the 3 terminals

When I replaced my wiper unit it was a direct replacement...all terminals the same spots....

His is upper right mine is lower right........chime in guys whats the diff....???

The one on the right is correct for a 70-73 firebird with park feature.

The one on the left is a later model.

Need answers.
Did the '70-early '73 use the 8790844 (stamped on mylar foil tag) motor? And, later '73-up use the 9691870, or was later '73 a one hit wonder?
