On every model except the T/A.....there were TWO Rally Gauge options...one with a rally clock....and one with a tach....

Rally gauges with TACH was standard on T/A's...

I am getting ready to yank one out of 72 bird and put tach in it's place. Easy change.

That is actually a "Rally Clock" and that is the military time on the outer perimeter. The package is called a Rally Gauge Cluster & Clock, 488 W63.

It's ALMOST a plug n play....

There IS a dimple on the firewall. (close to fuse block/bulkhead connector)

Which will give you the "correct" location....for the tach wire bung.....

I'm thinking you'll need an 1 1/4 ? holesaw for that....

TMTA & HFR, THANK YOU (Yet Again) for great info. Last tach I did was 20 years ago and I must have snuck wire "incorrectly" as I sure didn't drill. The engine may be out this winter, good time to drill.

It's got the premium Puff color scheme for sure, we can picture Barbie getting in it. I like it.

The incorrectly painted Rally IIs and Pep Boys tail pipe tip take away a bit from the puffery, but still pretty sharp. Last year for the vinyl top

The white vinyl top and body side mouldings make up for that.

I peeled a rubber roof...off (one of) my ex's cars about 20 years ago....

It was a 75 LOADED W66....and I'm sure the invoice showed it as factory installed....

I'm thinking in 76...the vinyl top was replaced by the "canopy" or Landeau roof....BOTH of which...are DISGCUSTING on these cars...
