nope;
(Going from memory here)
You opted for Rally II wheels, then opted for 15" tires - that was the only way to get it;
IIRC the 15" tire option required Ralley II option.

Unlike later years where 15" Ralley II's were a part of an option package, in 1970 you had to check two boxes to get them.

Mark,
That's a really awesome find. I will echo others that Keylime Green, especially in modern base/clear, is a stunning color on these cars. And your car definitely sounds like one deserving of a restoration to original colors.

No TA suspension for 70 formulas therefore no 15 inch wheels.

But, with close ratio m-21, and special axle, posi. They refer to that as "drag pack" formula
There was a guy who ran an ad for a '70 RAIII/M21/3.73 Formula for sale on this board, eBay, and Craigslist a few years back. He referred to it as a factory "drag pack" car in his ad, because of the M21/3.73. And so it became a bit of an inside joke for the '70 Formula fans on this forum to refer to M21/3.73 cars as "drag packs". Drag Pack, as others noted, was only a Ford deal.

So Mark, if yours is an M21/3.73 car, welcome to the "drag pack" club

IIRC there was no option grouping of posi/transmission/gearing...
Jonny, other way around. Picking the M21 as a transmission option mandated the 3.73 gears (and heavy duty radiator). No other rear gear was available with the M21, and no A/C, either. However, you could pick the wide ratio M20 trans and also order the 3.73 performance axle ratio.

Jim, agreed - I've been following these cars for a long time, and have seen few '70 Formulas built with the 15" wheels/tires. It was an expensive option at nearly $150... came with the 15" JW Rally II's and the F60-15 Polyglas GT tires as a package.

There was a 15" wheel option for the Formula in 1970
What was the option code for them?

N98/474 was for Rally II, but was it different for the 15" and 14"?

Do you look for the tire size?

Option Code TNL. Example of a PHS showing the option attached. The line item on the invoice specifies the tire, not the wheel. But the wheel that came with it was the 15" Rally II.

The UPC code for the 15" Rally II Wheel and F60 x 15 White Letter Package was PM7 and like Keith's PMS shows, it was a $146.39 option. It was available only on the Formula only.

opinions please..
marxjunk -
I can understand your position on your ram air. I have an almost identical RAIII Formula (with a few more options) in a very similar condition as well, but the exterior is Castillian Bronze with a saddle interior. I have also thought about changing the color. In your situation, I like the Keylime green.
