Firebird - Rear Coilovers?
Anybody recognize these shocks? I can't find any identifiers. Look similar to towing/truck shocks offered by Monroe/Gabriel.
They are on a 73 Firebird. Do they affect the stance any? Would be looking to swap these out for Koni reds, looks like the car still has it's stock leaf springs. Thanks |

When new, they would have raised the rear end. As old as they appear, I would think most of the lift is gone.
The Koni's are much better shocks and if the rear drops at all, I truly think it will be minimal at this point. If it drops too much, you could have the rear spring rearched. |

Those are just "helper springs" for worn out leaf springs or carrying heavy loads.

Thanks guys, that helps. Better to ask than to make expensive mistakes, especially over here...
