I'm guessing someone let their pre-teen son mostly plan/build/execute that 77 GP as some sort of experiment-adventure.

It would have been fun for a kid, especially during covid19.
The drivetrain has some limited value and you could test drive it before removing, is the only plus side i can see in the pictures.
