Default Today

From what I've seen so far today, the Pontiacs are not having a very good day.

But, the day ain't over.

Just copied this off Randi Lyn's FB page. Just as I figured, there was nothing wrong with her car. She just went to Gainesville to be with Bo Butner.

"I was very sad leaving St. Louis yesterday... it's a sick feeling when your going into round 3 and not able to drive up there and race!!! So, here I am sitting here in Gainesville watching dragracer.tv ..."

Well, I'm confused.

Did they ever run the S/ST final ?

The 4th round which DRC posted showed it to be the semi final.

So, what does this mean ? They're not gonna run the final today ? Or, they ran it & just haven't posted the results yet ?

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...er=30#indextop

At the time I'm posting this, DRC has not posted the final round of hardly any of the Sportsman categories.

Got my answer.

Finals rained out. Will run 'em later, at one of the Texas races.

Rained out but I was told the finals would be South Georgia this weekend or Rockingham the next. I sure don’t want to go all the way to Texas!

Saw your last race and was hoping that the rain would hold off.

We left and made it ot our motorhome right when it started raining.

Shame on having to travel to a different location to finish.

Good luck!

That would make a lot more sense, if it's better for you & you're opponent.

Seems I've read that sometimes the cars that are left just agree to split the pot. Don't know if this is allowed for nat events or not. ?

They only ran 1 round at Maple Grove, & ran 1/8 mile.

According to this post, they're suppose to try to finish today, weather permitting.

http://classracer.com/classforum/sho...6&postcount=20

All the Pontiacs survived E-1.

There's Billy Nees & Lauren Kanuik, in Stock.

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...r2020#indextop

In SS, there's Bill Kennedy & John Agneta.

https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCS...r2020#indextop

Bill Kennedy laid down a real good package. He cut a .007 light, then ran 6.610 on a 6.61 dial. That package will win most rounds.

Lauren Kanuik & Billy Nees both survived Stock E-2.

Bill Kennedy also won his SS round.

Billy Nees got the bye, in E-3. So, we'll have a Pontiac powered Stocker in E-4.

Wonder if a non-turbo 301 has ever won a division race or nat event ? Don Himes drove this Billy Nees '79 Lemans for several years. Don't know if he ever won a big race with it, or not. ? Anybody know ?

Bill Kennedy also won SS E-3. So, we got 2 Pontiacs still in the race.

Billy Nees lit the red light & Bill Kennedy broke out. No Pontiac winners today.

We are going to get to finish it at South Georgia so that’s a good thing. I can also run 2 more Natl Opens while I’m there
