Default '62 Timing Cover Change

I am putting my 62 389 back together and want to change the timing cover to a 69 -79 11 bolt cover. My question is this: would I be better off using the early '69 short hub water pump or one of the later years. I know that pulley alignment is going to be an issue but wonder which pump would make it the easiest to align. Thanks, Lewis

call ram air restorations. they have a conversion pulley that works without having to change everything. it's billet aluminum and will run about c-note, but is a very nice piece. i have one for my 68 to 70 conversion.
