Default Just Took Delivery of G8 GXP

Finally, after waitings for months and months, the Panther Metallic Black, 6 sp manual GXP got picked up last night after trading in the '06 GP GXP. No more torque steer! Fit and finish of both the interior and exterior was excellent. The proven LS3 had plenty of torgue and reved smoothly. The 6 sp shifted precisely with positive short throws. Handling is phenomenal, especialy with "the summer" only Bridgestones. Will give updates as it gets broken in on some of these West Texas roads.

I would love to get the Firehawk version. I guess I will have to be happy with the 07 GP GXP for now

Congrats. I love my Ignition Orange GT. Looking for a Stryker Blue Metallic GXP M6 to add to the collection of Ponchos while we can still get them!

Well we've got about 1800 miles on the beast. Made a day trip from Abilene to San Antonio and back ( a little over 500 miles) on mostly two lane black top. The car continues to operate flawlessly. I'm 6'4" and 220 lbs (not to mention an old fart) and the ride was extremely comfortable. No such thing as not enough power and poor handling. Go as fast as you want and absolutely have complete control! I'm at a cross road as to what I need to do with the car now. Park it and save it or just drive it? I'm inclined to drive it.

Congrats on the new ride, miltmilton. Though I don't own one, I know how nice the G8s really are, especially the GXPs with the greater power and handling abilities. If the GXP was out when I got my SRT8 Charger, I might have gone that direction. I can't even think of a reason won't enjoy every mile you put on in that car, for a long time to come. Are you planning on any mods? An air intake, cat-back exhaust and a custom tune are worth a great deal of power for any G8 GT, or GXP. I don't know if you guys are familiar with the www.G8Board.com website, but there's lots of great info there. By any chance, have any of you G8 guys driven a Charger R/T, or SRT8? I love getting honest feedback regarding the comparison. I've toyed with the idea of trading the SRT8 for a GXP, especially because of the 6-speed stick option. But, I'm still a bit more partial to the looks of the SRT8 Charger. Like you, miltmilton, I think about whether to keep the miles, off, or on the car (6300 miles currently). I'm about to pick up a '93 Bonnieville for a diver. But, I don't think I'll be able to keep from driving my Charger regularly.... Unless, of course, I'm in the GTO. lol

Abe, Abe, Abe...

Sell the MOPAR and buy the Pontiac...that's a no-brainer! Hello...your screen name IS "Ponchofan" is it not????? I don't see "Moparfan" to the right of your Avatar.

DRIVE IT! Did you get a good idea of the mileage on your trip? What's it cost for one of those babies anyway?--if it's not too personal. . .

I'm still trying to find an M6 in Stryker Blue Metallic. I've found three A6 in that color, dealing with all three dealers right now just to cover myself, but still looking for that elusive M6. I'll probably settle on an A6 and just drive the 71 Goat when I get the need to bang some gears!

Congrats on yours!

Stryker Blue Metallic GXP, 6 speed automatic with sunroof is on its way from Dickenson, TX to Atlanta, GA! Made the deal last night and this morning - will take 7 - 10 days to get it shipped here but glad to have it. 1 of only 57 GXPs in this color!

Congrats on the new car!

Did you trade your orange GT?

I have a GXP with the A6, you will not regret this purchase.
