Default 1966 Throttle linkage

Can anyone post some detailed pics of the throttle linkage firewall forward and the carb linkage as well for a 66' Lemans/Tempest.

I have these pics are a mock up on the bench.
It should help, looking at the 1st pic the orange line would be the cable from the firewall.
This is for 66-67' Tempest layout.

These are great reference pics. The cable from the firewall to the carb would that be the black cable and is that the same cable used on the V8 cars or specific to the OHC set up? Thanks again these help out alot.

I just took the linkage off my 1 barrel and will modify this to work. I also have a 2-barrel throttle bracket off a Pontiac V8 that I will cut, weld and modify to look just like the orig stock one.

Just check the WOT position to be sure the cable will clear the carb bracket; otherwise looks likes you’re on a good path.

As far as 66 vs. 67 linkage in the past I've swapped, mixed & matched and don’t recall any major diff between the two years. I can't speak to 68-69.
IIRC I've also used a v8 cable on a 66 in the past but can't recall for sure.

Like any old cars we must improvise when parts can't be found.

Jeff, Im going to cut the top portion of the bracket off shorten and weld it to the botton like the orig bracket. Im learning I will have to improvise for sure.

Btw that carb is one the best parts I've bought so far thanks.

Jeff there are differences
66 used a bolt and nut to retain the throttle cable clamp
67 had a tapped hole in place of nut
66 bell crank had an 1/8" offset and no finger hold
67 had finger hold 1/2" offset

this is not to say that any mix and match stuff wont work

Many years ago I sent JW every year of throttle linkages and pieces to repro
As far as I remember the carb adapter was the only thing made and it came out great.

Agreed the Bracket JW offers is well done.
I am amazed at the constant changes made to the linkages.

But still not as bad as the 1BC linksage.
I have a pile of 1BC bkts and no two are the same????

Might even consider the rodders choice to make up what you need.

I have a car with Cliffy intake and headers so went with the Lokar and no bellcrank.

Im thinking of redoing it and making a bell crank mounted on the cam cover bolts.
