Lots of people I work with drive them and no one has mentioned any complaints with the car.

I bought a 2012 in September. I'm satisfied with the car so far, and the 2.5 seems surprisingly peppy for a 4-banger.

I bought a new 1.5L Turbo Fusion in 2013.

I test-drove both the 2.5L and the 1.5L turbo for a whole day. The 2.5 would not pull the big hill coming up off the bridge at I-275 without downshifting, AND it slowed down doing it. The 1.5 did not even blink - 70mph right up the hill, no downshift.

PLUS I get 32-34 mpg on my trips to Iowa. Worth the bucks to me.

As I said, I like the car, but the position of the heater and A/C controls way down low drives me nuts.

Getting 25-27 here on crappy CA gas.

i had a rental fusion for a couple weeks. liked it, but don't start it up and get out to, in my case, scrape the ice off the windshield. doors locked and i had to wait 1.5hrs for road side assistance. didn't think it was possible to lock keys in a car these days. i was wrong.

If you're asking BC you're considering buying a new 2014 year end close out I've a suggestion:
Shop around and you may find a better deal on a new 2015 Fusion - I did.

We went shopping for a new car for My Mrs - she picked out this one she liked:
Silver ingot paint, black leather gut, SE w LE 18" wheel /suspension pkg, 1.5 Ecoboost w 6spd auto, w Synch / Audio pkg. Reverse camera, tire pressure monitors, etc.

IIRC - For the month of October FORD has a special promo on their 2015 Fusions, offer 0.9%, loyalty credits, etc.
We've had it for almost a month, she loves driving and the look of it, it is very comfortable, etc. I've driven it more in traffic & hi-ways on business trips than she has on a couple of 100mile round trips. Overall I couldn't tell any difference in the engine size - plenty of on-demand power in town stop & go and merging on ramps, etc. Still have just less than 600 miles on it.
FWIW: Originally we went looking for a new '14 year end close out Mustang or Fusion; ended up with much better deal on this 2015 Fusion. "Your results may vary."

Alvin: Have they moved the a/c controls up or are they still buried way down? That's my only real gripe with the car, and it's not really a big deal.

Ours is equipped w dual zone a/c, heated seats, etc. w controls that are all easily accessible via the central touch screen dash control as shown below which includes 4 main sections Navigation/Hands Free Smart Phone/Climate Controls/Entertainment Audio

Same screen automatically converts to backup camera image screen & warning system that @ 1st I thought would be of little use, but it has quickly become a welcome feature - shown below

Congrats. Same was true here for 2015s - cheaper than '14s.

Feel free to post up info and pix when you take delivery of yours. Drivetrain/Trim/Etc.

I drive my dads 2014. I am only 5-10 and can't even get in or out of it. There's really nothing I like about except one thing-GAS MILEAGE 39-41 mpg. Hard to get used too when used to driving a jeep wrangler or a Ford f-350 pickup. Even the jeep (I luv it) only gets around 22 mpg.

So far, the only thing I do not care for is the occasional wide A-Pillar blind spot from the drivers position.

Personally we couldn't care less regarding the mileage. In a months time we're still less than 600 miles...although, what I do like is: it quickly revs to 6,000+rpm, merges w traffic, and is a comfortable ride. Time will tell...

Power seat? I'm 6'1" and tubby. Took me a while with my head too close to the roof to figure out the seat. Instead of using it like a rocker switch for forward or back or tilt, push it down from the middle and it lowers quite a bit.

We just had a customer with a -07 fusion. Front left turn signal bulb was out. New bulb, not fixed, good socket, not fixed. $580 later it got a new Smart Junction Box. Mounted above driver's left foot, this does a lot of things, one which is flash the indicator faster when a bulb is out in the turn signal. New ones may also need programmed to the car and that adds a bit of $$s. So, instead of $3 bulbs, this poor customer got a $580 bill to pass MO Veh. Inspection. I think a lot of Fords use these so it is not just Fusions.
