Default Can't find a TH400 Governor Cover Gasket

Stopped at 3 places with no luck (Autozone, O'Reilly's, Parks). Even online I'm having difficulty finding one. Would like to get the car on the road this weekend.

Anyone know who carries these, or what I can use in place of it that would be compatible with trans fluid?

You'd think with all the transmissions that used it, it'd be readily available.

Perhaps a NAPA nearby? How about finding a trans shop near you and asking (begging?) if they might have a spare to sell.

Good luck.

I needed one and searched all the standard parts stores. Stopped in at a transmission shop and they gave me one. You can also buy gasket material at the parts stores you mentioned and make your own.

Found that too. Put it in the basket and tried to check out. Min. order $1. No problem. At that price I'll buy two. Put in shipping zip code... total is over $21! Ok, try another shipping method carrier... nope that's the cheapest. Shipping is free if yo spend over $60, but I'm not buying 70 of these things!

Anyway, since I stopped at ACE to pick up the 6d nails, I found high temp cut your own gasket material. Gonna give that a shot.
