well i finally got everything to work just got a few things to check my clock still does not work i have a wire that has power all the time hooked to it and the pod is grounded what gives also there is a bulb that comes on when i turn my lights on it has a wire attached to the side of it i thought it was for my heater swith lights but when i plug it in the hole fuse blows also this light flashes on and off when the turn signals are used thanks wildman.....

Hi Wildman, Ive just been going through installing a clock myself in my FB and it does not tick but this is because of burnt coil. You might check this as well on yours if it isn't working. Its easy to get the housing off. I am going to attach a photo of my fuse plate and the connections I have. Gray is the illumination wire and orange is power. Ground goes to dash above. Good luck.

the clock has been restored and checked bye the restorer so i know the clock is not bad the bulb socket has the extra wire sodered to the side so is that wire hot or is it a ground and is it for the light for the clock thanks wildman.....

most sockets if you look inside of them have one or two contacts in the bottom. these are the hot connection. the outside of the socket is the ground, so i would think that a wire connected to the outside of the socket would be ground also.

so why does the fuse blow when i put this socket in the hole for heater switch light does the heater assembly need to be grounded thanks wildman......

it would seem like the heater would ground throught the pigtail on the socket. does the fuse blow if you put the socket in without the bulb?
