Default 68 Dash Harness question

There is a plastic 'gutter' that some of the wiring runs through (and out of) and not sure how that mounts back to the underside of the dash. Replacing all the harnesses and want to reassemble correctly. Thanks

Wow....thanks, that's it! But it looks like there is a second piece over the radio...need to look for that. Very helpful

What is the 'light guide terminal'? Does it matter what hole it's installed in?

It’s the socket in the back of the cluster you’re supposed to plug the fiber optic light for the ash tray into. I don’t think it really matters which socket it goes in, but the fiber optic line probably reaches that one the best.

The one over the radio is a 6” gutter held on by two Phillips screws.

Hey Ken....stuff going back together under my dash. How does the directional signal connector mount? My connector comes out on the bottom of the steering column, and assuming that is correct, wondering how that semi circular connection mounts (there is a clip...what does it clip to)? New harness 'in the mail'.

Hmmm, I think I see it on the dwg. Looks like it mounts to the steering column cover....and the other part of the harness has another clip that mounts up there...going to check!

That half circle harness connector has a slot in it that gets a plastic spade. The plastic spade is small and has a square plastic channel molded on it. That male plastic channel on the spade slides into the female channel on the half round wire connector. The harness then goes on top of the steering column support and the plastic spade goes through a predrilled hole on top of the steering column support and faces down. So when you look up from the floor all you see is the black plastic spade sticking through the hole directly over the steering column
the half round connector is on top of the steering column support out of site.

I guess maybe for feeding it down through the steering column during assembly. That would be my guess anyway
