Default 1969 Firebird TH400 Kickdown Switch

My car has never had a kickdown and I'd like to finally install one. I know I can get the bracket/switch via eBay, but not sure how it mounts/connects. Can somebody take a photo of the TH400 kickdown switch mounted on Quadrajet?

Thanks!

That's odd, I replied earlier but I don't see it.

Thanks but I my carb has a different linkage (73 Buick 800). I'm not seeing the plug in my engine compartment either.

Yes, at the end of the day I just need it to work. But like I said, I've been driving it like that for years, just figured I'd add one. I've got a switch/bracket that mounts to the gas pedal. Used to have hooked up but for some reason I removed it. Need to find it in my stash.

I ended up finding and re-installing the kick-down switch I bought at wrecking yard 25+ years ago.

I think he is talking about the terminal "ends" on the wires.....where they plug onto your switch...shrink tube works perfect for stuff like that

That's what I thought. I added shrink tube.

FWIW, my background is in electronics.

That's all that is needed with a TH400. You don't need a TV cable or that overpriced Lokar stuff.

I don't drive it much. A few days ago I forgot I had installed the kick-down switch. I got on it and "Wham". I was like, "What the heck was that....oh yeah, I remember now"...lol!

Reviving old thread -

I'd like to add the factory kickdown to my 69 but it doesn't have the bracket under the gas pedal to add it - where does one get the bracket?

The stock kickdown is mounted on the carb (not my picture).
