Eric those things are cannons. Nice work. I like the fact you welded on studs for the diaper. How much for the por 20 and wrap to finish them off ? Maybe I did go the expensive route after all. My headers got shipped out today. Now I have to play the waiting game.

Eric Ditch the diaper and go with a belly pan.

Eric,
X2 with the belly pan. A couple layers of pig mat in the bottom is all you need. Diapers are total rectal trauma. My experience with header wrap is that the pipes rot away much sooner. The coating will help, but with a belly pan instead of a diaper, maybe you won't need the wrap? Nice work on the headers AND the car. Looks Great!! |

Pearlblue I think what you mean by studs are the fittings for my EGT thermocouples.

Oil-Retention Device
Eric,
Here are a couple pics of the belly pan on the car and one on the ground. Four bolts and it's off - quick and easy. After building headers, building a belly pan will be a breeze. Dick |

Great thread.
I'll be building a set of 2 1/8 to 2 1/4 step headers in the near future. This thread is a huge help. |

Pic of the headers I built. Took about a week. Frustrating at times but worth it in the end.
I wouldn't have tried building them if it wasn't for this thread. |
