Congrats Greg,

There's nothing like the sound of a big inch Pontiac pullin' some rpm.

Welcome to the 900 Club.

Nice numbers Greg. Gotta get the car done now so you can get it down the track. I think you'll have me covered now at the Grove.

Greg, Awesome!! far cry from the Fulper days. We now have a New pump gas KING!!
By the way I never thought the cam was to small. If anything a little more lift which could be taken care of with some more rocker ratio.

It took a High Port to beat a High Port. Someone is going to hit the 1000HP mark soon. Those were only 400cfm heads too !! There are 430+cfm heads around and even a 450 oval port set (I wonder what happened to them ?)
Absolutely the best all around head available, and best bang for your buck Pontiac head today.
So why do we need this Pro Port.
Nice job Gregg. I have talked to Robertson a few times, very nice and smart man.
Thing is, it should make a bit more power with straight pump gas then the race gas mix if it is a true pump gas engine.
When this car and ECs car make it out to the track this "list" is going to be dominated by High Port engines.
Its going to make some around here very happy!
I thought the BOP intake was too big for 400ish heads, I guess not!
What kind of car is this new king of the pump gas wars going in. I hope it is something with a factory frame and will lay down a number.
950HP is sounding like low 9s to me.

Dyno Sheet and some pics

Thanks to Greg and Steve for hauling to Texas to dyno that monster. I believe at this point they are still winging their way on the return trip.

That is one bad Injun...

The BOP intake worked great...but the inside dimensions are heavily worked. Very clean idle and snappy response with a 1250 HP carb. I did not believe we had enough engine/RPM to take advantage of the as cast piece. It did not want a spacer after the changes.

The BOP Belt drive for both the cam and distributor worked and looked great...outstanding pieces.

Also a big thanks to John Krull for allowing us the use of his custom step headers and his remote oil filter set up. Headers were probably good for 50+ hp over a 2" primary.

Torque on Pump gas equaled C-12.

So the only stock Pontiac piece on this one was the balancer bolt...Greg trying to save some money...:-)
