The funny thing is a few months back people were trying to make fun of pump gas engines and said it was a waste of time . Like I said then and I'll say it again, with the economy in the shi__er people want to be able to drive a car if they cant afford to go racing..

If you can make the power you need on pump gas the question is why run race gas? More expensive, harder to find and with pump gas you do not have to worry so much about head gaskets.
And it is always fun to beat the chevy guy with a pump gas engine vs his race gas engine with the "junk rod chucker" engine. The look on their face is worth it.

You realy think so, what did Langer just make, I think he's runing 15.1 compression.
Almost 1100 hp if I remember correctly. That would realy be some thing if a pump gas motor made 1000 hp with 4 points less compression

Lets face it, this wasn't a budget build. It takes money to make big power and live. It's a huge accomplishment to make that much power, but you can always make more power with all things equal by adding compression.

Very impressive #'s! 540+ Chevys w/ more cam and great heads don't even come close to this thing on pump gas.

Is there anyway to enlarge the dyno sheet? It is hard to read it is so small.

I saved it, but still found it hard to read. It's a real small. Maybe a pump gas dyno list is in order.

That is the truth. just bumped my timing down so I could put pump gas in it. At $7 a gallon, I would rather play more the spend.

Yep - it's sho' get's fuzzy when I enlarge it enough to be readable.

PLEASE don't take this the wrong way - but it APPEARS on my smallish, fuzzy copy that the baro reading is WAY low. Could that not foul up the corrected numbers?

Yes the uncorrected barometer was a scant 27.73" Hg. This matched with our wall mounted mercury barometer. Normal uncorrected baro readings at the dyno are 28.20".

Normal Density Altitude in the middle of the summer here is +4000'.

Remember the numbers on the dyno sheet are the uncorrected barometer numbers...which is the same as "uncorrected station baromteric pressure" used by pilots to adjust their altimeters. The numbers you hear on the news at night and on the weather channel or weather .com are corrected. The Superflow dyno software needs the uncorrected numbers.
The Superflow 901 Operater's manual recommends a real Mercury barometer be installed and used to ensure accuracy. How many dyno cells have one and use it properly?
