I'm kinda partial to it myself. This car really has me motivated to get mine going.

Although this one would be cool, I'll stick with the Voodoo Green car although I've been thinking lately of mothballing the XW & building a 428.

I'll give Ron a call this week and get things rolling.

Not sure it went to 200 real quick and they spent some time to get to 240. They did not show any of the bidders.
Imo it was there to test the market with no inclanation to sell the car.
you could build 5 cars with 428's for that money and have 5 times the fun.

Your right about that....and I agree about testing the waters...problem is, some "factors" have all but ruined the musclecar market. Some of these guys got stuck holding some SERIOUS metal too. I know they wished they would have gotten out even last year cause it headed down down down.

BTY, wonder what this replicas 69 455 RA engine built by Milt Schnorack will bid to? I bet this one is a cool driver.

So, just what is Milt going to authenticate about this car other than the fact it is a replica?

Well...technically, wouldn't the same be true of any Royal Bobcat car?
I mean, if Milt Schornak himself building the engine doesn't mean anything, isn't that basically what Royal was doing?
Seems to me, the only difference is where he did it and when he did it.

Ok, I get that.
In that case, I guess he's just authenticating that he built the engine.

And 40 years after he built the first one. Can you do ANYTHING as well as you did 40 years ago?

I'm not yet 40, so for me the answer is no.

The '68 Bobcat car is high on my list of drool material Pontiacs. You get the classy style of the '68 GTO, a real RA pedigree, and then modified by Royal and has a famous drag racer connection to boot? Where do I sign up?

(Oh, yeah, I don't have the money!)

Milt didn't build engines... Dave and Sid Warren were the wrenches back then. Not exactly sure who built this motor, Walt Holifeld built the motor in Milts current racecar, the car that I built for him.

As for this "Boss man" car, I judged it in 08 at the GTOAA National Convention, the screwed up nose and the fiberglass ram air scoops were the major detractions... They were not happy that the car didn't fall into a class, it was too modified for original restored, not modified enough for modified. Earned a Silver Award. Nicely done car. I like it much better without the graphics.

Thanks, Paul for posting.

I see the auction was a couple weeks ago - does anybody know how the car did?

240k no sale.

It appears the car wasn't actually for sale. I can't imagine that car is actually worth that. No race history. No original drivetrain. Vinyl graphics...
Maybe needed a number for insurance reasons?
