Default Longbranches for sale

Saw a set of , what I think we're, an orig HO manifolds at a swap meet. Guy was asking $600. They looked good. No broken bolts or casting that I could see. Seemed a bit high to me. I was thinking $4-$450.
What's the consensus on price?

$600 for a set of real (and usable) manifolds is a steal IMO. Reproduction manifolds will run you $700. I've heard that used exhaust manifolds are usually cracked, but I've also heard that they're typically ok? I bought a pair of repro manifolds for my 69 and searched for awhile on eBay. Used ones typically run $600+ for one.

with original sets possibly being cracked as you can't mag them there...........and you know at the swap meet you take your chances., no guarantees!......... I would probably buy new reproductions. I feel that the price is too high. but I'm cheap!

Seems like most of the time one or other of the mounting ears on the ends is broken off if anything. These looked fine but I'm wasn't going to blow more cash than what I thought they were worth when I don't even have a car that I would put them on. But I was curious about the valuation. It was a swap meet too so I could've bartered him down a bit on them maybe.
