Rear axle question
When I bought my 67 as a project the rear end had already been swapped out to a newer 8.5. I do not know what model car the axle originally came out of. The original mono leafs were in the car with some sort of spacer to fill the space on the deeper leaf spring perches. I switched the springs to a mutli leaf (4) and put the spring pads. The car is not an original 400 car so no factory traction bar, I did install a set of traction bars. Everything lines up (width and pinion angle). My only concern is it does not look like there is enough compression on the upper spring pads. There is some compression, but seems like there should be more. Guess my question is: is this normal or do I need to add a spacer or another leaf? If anyone has a good picture of a similar set up that might be helpful as well. Thanks

Guess I should have looked closer at the car. I didn't know that thing has the 67 Posi in it. I have a posi in the one I have I just wanted to be sure what I am seeing on mine is correct before I start pounding on it. I was out there again about a month or so ago and it looked like the cars were starting to get picked over a alittle. Hopefully going to get out there one of these days, there are a few other things I would like to get my hands on before they are picked clean.
