What trans and converter do you run? To me your car is very fast for the mph. Your 60’s are impressive.

Nice job. Those are some great #s for your combo. I think the steep gears and good traction are getting you out of the hole with an impressive 60' time but probably slowing the mph relative to the e.t. In any event you are doing way better than most other combos I have seen that are similar to yours.

Can you post up the dyno sheet?

I collect dyno sheets. I have a dyno from you from 2014 which shows 478.7 HP @ 5400 RPM. I also have a dyno which I have labeled as your from 2017 which shows 784.7 HP @ 6800 RPM

Thanks,
Stan

The 2014 results were from the same engine as now, but with stock non-ported heads. The 2017 results were from an aftermarket block with ported high ports that I built, but eventually sold.

Very impressive with a stick car. What trans do you use?

Awesome thank you so much for looking that up.
The intriguing thing to me is our 69 GP ran same from 330 to 660 (2.60) If we can get the weight moving quicker we should have teens in it. Got something to work towards now.
Ours 1.62 4.696 7.301

Old 462 w/Iron D combo -

10.60s/10.70s best 60 of 1.48 but usually 1.51 to 1.55

4000 converter
3.73 gear
3295lb
transbrake

But now I have a 60ft problem as I'm running the same 1.51 60ft on a 10.16 @ 135.63 now with new 474 w/high port combo .. should be like 1.37 now...going to swap to a Victor from a Gutsram to see if the 60 improves

I would really like to change intakes on mine to see how it effects it. When I got my e-heads used, they came with a matching 4150 Victor intake and that’s all I’ve run since I got them. The last time my heads were at the machine shop, I took my old Torker II in and asked the guy to try to do whatever needed done to make it work with the heads. For whatever reason, he said it couldn’t be used with the heads. I don’t know if there’s truth to it or if he just didn’t want to mess with it, but I’m certain that given the small cubic inches of the motor, the weight of the car/lack of gear and very limited rpm’s that it would perform better with an rpm performer or torker II. Not to mention with my flat hood and the victor, I have to run the carb right on the intake. I think an rpm with a spacer would run better. Any thoughts?

Hi Adam. We spoke in the staging lanes at Havana a few weeks ago. Ive never tried a victor but my car picked up from 7.5 to 7.3 going from an extrude honed TII and 1/2" open spacer to an RPM manifold with no spacer. Possibly i didn't have enough spacer on the TII but i don't have the clearance for a bigger one. Jon

I would almost guarantee you will run quicker with an RPM (and probably a TII). Are your heads wide port version?
