So I opened the hood on my 65 GTO and the lever felt funny. Went to close the hood and it won't latch fully closed. Looked underneath and found a rusted 1-2 " broken spring. Where can I find a new one ? Hood still catches on the safety latch. Glad the car was in the garage when it broke.
Any help much appreciated. OGR

Since you have to old pieces, maybe start looking here: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/compression-springs/ or here https://www.mcmaster.com/products/extension-springs/

Well I didn't place an order. They don't have the exact same spring but they many options to choose from.
The list is somewhat confusing. This is what I'm looking for.
