Sadly, we're hearing less and less about Pearl Harbor every year.

Well I don't forget. Rip to all those brave men who were blindsided by a cheap shot attack.

Let's not forget! I heard almost nothing today in the news on Pearl Harbor, sadly a lot of people know little or nothing about how important today is!

Yes I feel like this day is not honored like it should and is an important lesson to all Americans. The world can always rely on America for help

“History is not so ancient as to describe for us the beginnings of men’s efforts to work together to perform a piece of work appearing worthwhile to the entire group. But if we come at once to the circumstances of our own time, we have no difficulty in recognizing the strength that is the product of unity among ourselves. Whatever the resources and strength of a nation, it is inevitably made greater and stronger by unity—cooperation among themselves—of its people.”

There's too much of that going on now. We send hundreds of billions of dollars annually everywhere but here where we need it the most. Time for the US to stop melding in everybody's affairs.

It may not be showing in all location, but right now (8pm central time) my local PBS TV station is showing the documentary Remember Pearl Harbor.

Like other wars and conflicts more than likely could have been prevented.

Never forget! I won't, as long as I am of a sound mind.

I talked to a man in the navy who was there that fateful morning. My grandfather was a steam fitter at Latrobe Steel he volunteered to go and help with the aftermath along with my father. The govt wanted them to stay in their jobs at home.

Let’s not turn this thread remembering those who died on that fateful day into a political discussion.

The Pearl Harbor Museum is very sobering and a wonderful memorial to those that gave their lives there. I wish there was a little more effort made by the News community to remind us all of these anniversaries. But I think we can take some responsibly to remember for ourselves..
I’m grateful to all those that serve and served so I can have freedom.
