Wow- what a beautiful Formula.

$11k for a Formula 350? A very nice deal. I know mine will never be as original, but it will sport the Formula stripe for sure.

I'll keep my eyes open for you, Jay.

What model year(s) are you hunting for, and what options (or lack thereof)?

in a post from another site, i believe he is looking for a stripped down 74 formula. 74 so the engine he has now will work. a stripped down version, with the least options the better. looking to drop his motor into a lighter body.

he was running like 11.10's with the heavy Trans Am/ AC and all, in a formula at several hundred pounds lighter, should be a slam dunk, 10 second ride.

Thanks Joe,

Yes, an Espirt or Formula 350 would be great in Ascot silver, Ad Blue or Cameo white. Less options the better but would look at any 73-74 survivor available. The budget is 10 -15k.

Thanks again

looks like we may have your old heads back on the track this year. we are planning on using the heads on a stroked 400 block, bigger solid roller, warrior intake, and put it in the S/S car. Dave is doing alot of the work while i'm gone.

That's my next project 74 formula, cameo white w/red interior, 350/350 auto, pwr streering, pwr brakes, thats it. 28,000 some miles. Wife bought new right out of high school. Drove it until 1983 then started storing it. Not enough room for baby seat in back. Backed it in the new heated garage in 1993. Hasn't been out since. Hope I can find the keys.
Fiberglass bumper for it laying on hood.
Not sure its any lighter than a Trans-am?

Nice car! Goes to show they are out there. The Formula 350's and Espirits are more of the girl cars and wife cars so they seem to be treated well and kept even better.

Thanks for the pics. My Trans Am was off the road in my basement from 1991 to 2002 ...right under my recliner. It was the only place for the car that kept me from worrying about it.

Good luck with the project.

Joe,

Good luck with the motor.I look forward to the track times!

I was asked for a pic of the air cleaner label. This is the only one on it!

I have narrowed my search down further to a 1974 Formula auto with the ram air option. Thanks again to those helping out.

Something looked weird on the rear spoiler of the Pinemist car.

Good luck on the 400/455 RA auto car Jay. I wonder if they pulled the RA option at some point before '75.

Thanks Guys,

The more I look, the more I see that sold in the last 2 mos. Still leaning to a low mileage survivor. I know i will have to do a cosmetic restoration/correction in the engine bay and a few other places. But, thats all I plan/hope to do to it.

Maybe in the next couple of mos a few more reasonable survivors will surface.

Thanks again.
