Pontic Ventura Roof Restoration Help
New to the forum and also to classic car restoration. I have a question I don’t know how to search for, but if it’s already answered please link the topic
I have a ‘73 Ventura I recently gutted to restore. I just pulled out the liner between the roof and the support braces and was wondering how to replace it? Attachment 1 I was thinking slide thicker Dynamat between but not sure how to tuck the sides. Or maybe tack weld the bracing to the roof, fill with spray foam, and dynamat the open spaces. I’m all for improving since it won’t be an OEM resto so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

most likely its anti flutter between braces and roof panel.
3M makes it and you can apply with caulking gun. I wouldnt try welding as the roof panel will then distort. Antiflutter is also used in hood braces.
