I sold a set 12's to a friend for $400 after begging me for months.
Heard he sold them for more. Maybe not such a friend after all

Have a set of 13's on one of my engines.
I just may sell'm and put my 6x hds on it.

Those 2 bidders must have wanted those pretty bad. Next week there will be 3 or 4 pairs on ebay, and the seller will be lucky to get half that. I have 2 sets collecting dust as well. Those heads are in pretty good condition, not alot of pitting in the castings, and the numbers are in real good shape.

yea I was the guy that bought those # 12 heads i believe, needed the dates!. I`m also the one that sold these #13 heads! yeaaa!!

actually I think i was the one that paid 1100.00 for those #12 heads ( rebuilt, ferrara valves ect..) and I think it was a little over a year ago

There was a set of NOS #13's on eRape about a week ago that went for around $1700 BARE!

definatly looks to me to be a date code based price - congrats!

I have a set of #62's that I will likely eventually sell... I just hpoe that I can get that kind of money when I sell them!

In fairness they look like awful nice heads, maybe someone paid a premium to be able to mount them as is. No sex jokes please, it is sick of you to think of a thing like that with a dumb old pair of D port heads!! Mind you a nice set of round ports......

LOL, I was bidding on those also I believe. I quit at $800. I think the date code was around J189, just the date I needed

I have a real nice set of 13's, (D290) and they happen to be bolted up to a very nice sounding 428. From what I'm hearing here, maybe I could retire if I sold this on e-rape.
