Thumbs up 1973 Lemans GT pictures

Castongu’s pictures

Here is but another reason for the interest, investment, and saving the Pontiac Colonnade Coupe’s. This example is owned by “Castongu”. Extremely nice car, and I personally love the unique color and execution of this Poncho!

castongu Went to visit some old friends a couple of weeks ago we hadn't seen since moving to Santa Monica. Not that L.A is so far away, but it's been almost a year since visiting and moving away (can't believe the year flew by so fast!). Anyhow, I didn't realize they took some pic's of the Pontiac that day. Not the best quality, but new none the less for me. I've been too busy (lazy) the past year to bother taking recent pictures, so this was a surprise to me in the email I got.

Just thought I'd share.

May I offer a suggestion?

How about next time taking pics in a lighted area with no shadows from trees and houses all over the car? Not very often we get to see a nice example of any 73-77 A-body, let alone a LeMans-GT.

I agree. Drive that baby out in the open someplace sunny and without clutter and shoot away.
Cool car.

I agree they are not the greatest quality. My original post on the A-body Site mentioned these were sent to me by email from friends I was visiting at the time who I didn't realize took these pictures. I need to take some shots with a quality camera when I can find some time. I think these were done with a cellphone.

If the interior and underhood look as good as the outside, I think you should contact Tom DeMauro at HPP about a feature in the magazine. He likes '73 A-bodies as evidenced by his interest in the Grand Am, and I don't ever recall reading a magazine article on a LeMans-GT.

1973 GT Lemans are rare. Most of those that came with the sport stripes have lost them by now...if the car is still around. Beautiful example. This semi strobe pattern is a continuation of the 9 stripe decal found on 1972 Lemans cars and GTOs ordered with D98 sport stripes. A very nice upgraded version actually if you've seen the color variations available.

Agree with that 100%. And how nice to have friends who also appreciate this car enough to take pictures AND email them to him!
