The one that started the Pontiac hobby for me. My first car and first Pontiac: A 75 Grand LeMans

This car was factory equipped with a 400 4bbl, black deluxe cloth bucket seat interior, Radial Tuned Suspension (RTS), full gauge package, Landau top and other options.

I'm sure most of you here already know this, but what makes the 75 Grand LeMans (GLM) unique is its one year only waterfall grill and (as with all 75-77 GLMs) they had the Grand Prix dash instead of the regular LeMans dash (a feature shared with the 77 Can Am and 77 LeMans GT). They were great riding and handling road cars with unique styling. If only cars were still built that way......

I would really love to find a wagon in good shape so I could have something really nice to drive as a daily driver. I. have wanted a 73-77 wagon for a long time now. I found one ,,, will a friend of mine found one & didn't say anything to me about it even after he decided he didn't want it. It was nice a 74 white lemans with red insides, 52k no rust at all , air & power locks & windos . The guy only wanted $1100.00 for it & ended up selling it for $ 800.00. That was about 5 years ago, but that was still a good / great deal. But I wasn't told about it until it was aready sold. My friend said I though I told you about that ,, but I didn't remember. So I lost out. Now I'm still looking for one in good shape. I would really like to have a 73 to go along with my 73 GTO as I would paint it the same & put the NASA hood on it & dress it out the correct way.

Brush with fame: I took the pics of that Persimmon (orange) GLM station wagon shown above. Man it was nice, and it only had about 10,000 miles on it. Pics were taken at an auction, but it didn't hit reserve - I think the guy wanted $15,000 for it.

Question for Rick - I noticed the hush panel under the column is black. I always thought that if it was a column shift car, the hush panel and the steering column would match the color of the dash. Are these two items black because the car has the optional CS steering wheel?

If the large horn button Custom Sport wheel was ordered, the column and dash panel under the column would be black. With the Luxury Cushion and standard wheels the column would be interior color.
