Default Bought a '75 GL Safari wagon

Went to a local auction the other day and notice a wagon about to hit the auction block as I walked in the door. I had someone else bid on it for me and it didn't meet reserve. I went back on Monday and made a deal on the car. It's fairly loaded with options, 400 Turbo 400, PW, PDL, Tilt, Cruise, Climate control, Power seat and Rally II's. It's still wearing it original paint with 116,000 miles on it.

Not to be to nosey , but how much did you give for it. It looks like a great car, specially with all the options.

Did you get my PM.? Thank for the compliments, i've been looking for another wagon. The last one I had was a 1970 pepper green Catalina in 1998.

Yes, got your PM & you got a great deal & it looks like a great car. I like wagons. I grew up on them. Thats all my parents would buy in the 60's & 70's. We had some great ones to. Even though they were wagons they liked the toys in them.

I grew up in a family of 7 kids but my Dad bought Ford Wagons. We had a 1967 Country Squire and then a 1969 Country Squire, both were 390 2 bbl. A friend of my brother family had a 1970 Catalina 400 2bbl and it would outrun our '69 wagon fairly easy.

Alvin, Nice looking wagon. After seeing your pic, i need to also tint my windows, it gets hot down here in central Georgia. Do you know where I can get the rear bumper filler panel?

What a small world - our 1973 Grand Am is an original Taber Pontiac too. Original owner told me "it was the 1st Grand Am ordered & delivered in the Atlanta area!" We have the original salesman's cards, paperwork, key punch outs, etc. and swag from Taber. Also, there is a round white w gold TABER lettering decal on the rad support under the hood...and pot metal dealer trunk lid script.

For the record & clarification that is NOT my wagon or picture. Don't want to take away any thunder from owners' idea or credit. I'd suggest you seek fillers here on PY AMES, FB and ABody Board...also don't forget to check Chevelle.com & Motorealm, Franks Pontiac Parts, etc. as some ideas.

Keep us posted.

This the is Indian that used to be on top of the building at Taber. It now sit at a North Cobb co high school. I grew up on the southside of Atlanta, I remember both Boomershine and Taber growing up.
