69 GTO Windshield Wipers
When I turn on my windshield wipers in my 69 GTO they come on but don't want to turn off. I have to jiggle the switch a bunch to get them to stop. Anybody else have this problem and how did you solve it? The 69 switch is not available in repro from what I have seen. Thanks for any help.

Try checking the ground on the back of the switch. If you need a switch I might have one..Jeff

My experience with these is that the switch that parks the wipers gets hot and melts the plastic housing it sits it or the housing has deteriorated and cracked. Pull off the washer pump assy. and you'll see it, usually white or green and somewhat squarish.

Thanks, guys! I was told that switch was inside the wiper motor, glad to confirm. I was wrongly assuming it was on the dash. Seems the wipers are taking a couple extra swings to park which I can live with til it stops working altogether.
