This is how I ran the down pipe down under the car. It was a little tough to get a 5" pipe down there. It wasn't gonna happen with the stock filter housing so I made this adapter from 1/2" plate t6 aluminum, some 3/4" tubing, and some -12an weld bungs. It's gonna split into two 3.5" pipes beside the transmission, and then run out the back.

I wanted to add some volume to the pan so I built this sump with the kickout onto my stock style pan. It'll hold about 8 quarts now. The sump is 8.5" deep, and uses a Moroso pick up for my oil pump. I addef a couple baffles inside. The turbo drain is made from a 1 1/2" u bend to kinda move the oil pan a little closer to the turbo, and to keep the -12 line straight.

Well I'm getting close to having this thing finished. I think anyway! There is always five more things to do. I'll put up some more pics when it gets finished. Here's where it's at now.

This is what I did to my fuel tank. I narrowed it to keep more volume over the sump, and added return lines and vents. I wanted a large sump so I cut the sump off of a bbc oil pan that had holes from rods in it and welded it on. I drilled fourteen 1/2" holes in the bottom of the tank to feed the sump. We'll see how it works. My buddy calls it Frankentank!

Nice build you have here!

I like the way you think, I like the ideas you did with the fuel tank. Different is cool in my book, and you didnt buy it, you made it.

Thanks a lot Chris! I appreciate yours and everyone else's comments. This build has been fun even though it has taken longer than I had planned. I know it will be worth it in the end!

I do like to build my own stuff instead of buying it. Sometimes it works out good for me and sometimes not! Lol!

I built a mount for my pump, installed my tank, and ran most of the fuel lines last night.

How much clearance do you have between the oil lines and headers/downpipe?
Also what is exhaust coated with?

Looks awesome!

After the first 24" of pipe from the turbine exhaust, you can typically neck the pipe diameter down to a smaller diameter. So if the oil lines from the block get too hot then you should be able to run a 4" pipe and a heat shield on that side of the pipe (spaced with a 1/2" air gap) and still make tons of power. That down pipe has to be around 3 feet from the turbo (if I am looking at the pictures right). If you had an oil line failure to the engine that would be really bad.

Thanks George! I just painted them with VHT very high heat paint. After I start it I'm gonna wrap them if there are no problems.

Between the oil lines and the header there is about 2" of clearance, but between the lines and down pipe there is about 3/4". I was gonna wrap the down pipe and sleeve the lines to keep the heat off. I thought about cutting the tubes off of the adapter and putting another bend forward on them because there's lots of room up there. A 4" pipe would be way easier.

I agree Tom...burning an oil line would be a really bad day! From the turbine housing to the 5" v-band the pipe is 3' long. On down to where the lines are it's close to 5'. I really want to keep the 5" pipe, but 4" would be easy and get me finished with the exhaust pretty quick as I already have a 3" system with Magnaflow mufflers. I'm gonna decide in the next couple days. I'm about ready to start it and it would be nice to have an exhaust on it. Have some 4" pipe left too. Can always change it later I guess.

I am using Spintech 4" oval, to Spintech mufflers under my car for ground clearance. My twin turbo downtubes will be 4" round and transition to the oval as they go under the car. Spintech stuff is top notch.
