Have you seen the latest gem??? http://www.diyautotune.com/ms3-pro.html
(link took my pc awhile to load)

MS3 pro just released...I like it.

I like tuner studio interface... seems to be a bunch of function and option plus datalogging built in.

Im using tuner studio right now. Its pretty good and the data logging and self tuning works really well on the stock 5.3. Not sure if I'll use it for the turbo motor but it works great.

Keep in mind the MS-1 will do a lot of the features most drag racers would need. Once you build the MS1 and install the map dady sensor you can upgrade to the MS3 for another $200. So for under $700 you can have a complete set up.

Thought I woud post some updates since Ive finally started driving the car again. Ive been able to get it painted, build new headers, intake hat, hot, and cold side pipes, new FAST XFI system, and Im just now trying to finish wiring the car up.

I dont have any final pictures yet but the hood is mounted and all of the lights finally work. Still a lot left to do to get the tune right, hope to make a few passs this weekend.

I decided to get through dragweek before I start using methanol so Im using a A1000 and a really light spring in the waste gate. I can tell right away this thing wont need much boost to outrun the fuel pump. Plus using E85 its looking like the AIT are staying in good shape running around town. Im betting I wont find E85 over the entire dragweek trip but Im bringing M1 in case I need to make my own at the track.

I think I'll wrap the headers as well, Im concerned about ruining the paint on the hood.

Hmm E85 and the A1000 pump really limits amount of power... be careful with that... I think I'd want two (A1000) for insurance.
...actually I think a belt driven pump the better option, and use the electric pump to feed a front tank that feeds the belt pump. Front tank being maybe double capacity of fuel you could possibly consume on a run and rear pump adequate to fill front tank before startup and keep up with mechanical pump at light load.

Anyway...glad to see you got it going... Drag week is on my bucket list... thats really cool...

Thanks guys..

After thinking about that A1000 I decided Bruce was right. Why am I putting a $300 pump on this type of car. I bought a Magnafuel pump that should cover my needs. The car already has a belt drive pump but I didnt get the front fuel cell mounted in time so off it went for now.

Cost to put a cable drive on it was cost to $1000. Now I'll have a electric pump for the street and the mechanical for the race day so I can keep my fuels seperate.

Its loud, not open header loud but close. I added in cone diffusers and two 3.5" dynomax mufflers that are rouhly 6" long. They take the bite out of the exhaust and thats about it. Inside the car its actually quieter than the flowmasters that dumped under the car.

I still ear plus for long runs...

No video yet, but I made a few passes at gateway Wed night. Nothing to talk about other than it didnt squirt oil out, loose any bolts, backfire, sputter going down the track or get hot. So I called that a success.

It did make a few 100' passes that seemed very slow since I was only building 2.3lbs of boost!!! I didnt have my boost controller hooked up yet, I was expecting 6-7lbs instead of 2.3lbs on the spring.

I felt bad for all of the people that liked the car and stopped to watch it run. It only took me 17-18 seconds to make a quater mile!!

I'll take a video of it when it can at least run it through the 1/8". I also decided to take a 05' gto on drag week instead of trying to "test" my car next week. I feel like a quiter but its the right thing to do.

Havent even tried. Decided to just order a cable drive and return all of the new electric fuel pump stuff.

Ive been driving it around town and took it to a couple car cruises. Havent had time to get back to the track.

After switching to the cv-1's I needed to swapped out the cam. Just getting it back together tonight so I can take it for a drive tomorrow afternoon. Then install the AMS 1000 and call Dan Saitz to see when his schedule is open for a track day.
