Talking Your A-BodySite username

Word over at the ABodySite lately is that website performance is glacial. Since there may be a bit more traffic in this forum as a result, I thot it'd be helpful for folks who have a different username on each site to post up.

Here's my example

Chief Wanabee = Jim Wankers @ ABodySite

...So which website do you think is going to become the "go to" for the 73-77 A guys?

I make it easy on myself. I have so many logins I forget daily, I try to keep them all the same.

73LeMans=73LeMans. I thought I was 73LeMans on the PZ site, but damned if I can remember the password. Its also very possible I never created the account. I'll keep trying...

Great idea! Mine's the same....Grand73Am here too. Hope to see the others participate over here too. Abodysite has become practically unusable.

It's not your Mac. Everyone is having problems with access and exceptionally long waits for pages to load at Abodysite now.

I am Cammerjeff on both, but for some reason I can no longer log in to the A-body site, and get no response from the moderator. Maybe some one can contact the moderator for me?

Drifting a bit from the main topic here, but here's some excerpts of an email I got from Murray with an update on ABodySite:

"There are problems with (the host) Boardnation. Everyone is having problems with a tremendous slowdown in transfer speed... abodysite isn't the only customer being affected by it. Peter is working on moving to another web provider...When everything is set up at the new location, I believe that a notice will be posted at the abodysite homepage."

Hope that helps clarify the background behind your login issues, Jeff.

Hi Guys.. I just joined PY today. I decided that it was about time. I'm Murray at abodysite. Someone else has that name here so I'm MurrayS at this locale.

I'm the same at both. Hopefully, when this is starightened out, it is posted here since getting to the a-body site is getting practically impossible. And, we can hang out here too.

Hi Murray (or MurrayS), welcome aboard!

I am Pontiacdaver on both sites. And I am a former Can AM owner named Dave.

Hello Everyone! Well I decided to also take the jump to Performance Years from the A-Body site. Same user name over here as was there. Maybe things will return to how it was on that site after things are fixed. Hey, we are a unique group of people with our love of the 73-77 A-Body, right?

(A few years ago on the Yahoo Can Am group, there were quite a few Can Am owners named Dave. It was sort of a running joke.)

Of course I do anticipate going back to abodysite when the switch is made but now I like the idea of having another place where a-body people are located. This does present a great opportunity to help promote our cars and maybe build up more of an appreciation of them by other Pontiac owners. I'll have to spend some time looking over and getting familiar with the layout of things here on PY. Though I visited it on occasion, I never got into it to really see what it is all about. It's also good to see familiar people\names here!
