Default Where did all the 73-77 guys go?

Haven't seen anything new posted here in over a week. What a shame! So I thought I would post a couple of pics of my 73 gto that I found someones backyard several years ago. It has the original engine/transmission and 44,000 original miles. Too bad the previous owner sandblasted the edges to bare metal and let it sit in the dirt and weather for 12 years or so. And yes even in Arizona that will cause cancer. Interior and front clip are off, and the engine and transmission have been rebuilt. I sourced a S/R carb and rebuilt the front suspension. I have not had time to touch it in a couple of years (young kids and sports take a LOT of time, that and I have a 14 year old boy with a 68 Buick that is dying to be restored).

Anyway, this has always been my favorite GTO, and it was the hardest one to find! (I found my Judge long before I found a 73 for sale).

I talked to Tim Dye this weekend. He has 4 73' GTO's and a wealth of info. He also runs the PONTIAC museum in Pontiac Il. When you get ready to restore let him or I know if you have any questions. Tim

Canamman - is the A body site back up??? Last time I checked i couldn't get on it so I kinda gave up on it.

Tim - I will definitely do that. I was just at the garage imagining the way I want it to look!

I'm still here, and the A-body site, didn't know about the Facebook A body pages.

No worries Erik. Post when you can. Would love to see you do a thread in this section with photos from your area in the Netherlands and your comments as to what it takes for you to maintain a Pontiac, obtain parts needed, shipping-import tax-monetary conversion costs, etc.
