The drawing doesn’t answer the question because it only shows a manual trans application (the picture shows a non resonator tail pipe which would be 2.25”).

Interestingly the option was available on all A bodies in 69 (except wagons) including single exhaust or even six cylinder cars. Any dual exhaust equipped car that wasn’t a GTO would use the 2” tailpipes with resonators regardless of transmission and any single exhaust car (even with the six) used a 2.25” tailpipe so both types of extensions also had non GTO applications.

Lovely car John. I remember this car being for sale a while back due to the incorrect engine color and all the great options.

Just the way I like them with the parchment interior, hidden headlights, heavily optioned and white line tires.

Visually, even on modern cars a light interior always sets off the exterior color more than a dark one.. Good luck with it.

She's a beauty, John! Love the hideaways and EB! Would be more fun with 3 pedals, but still pretty damn cool with a TH400!!!

If you count the parking brake there are 3 pedals ;-)

Whomever restored this car must have been numerically or at least tape measure challenged. Apart from the previously mentioned install of a lower rear quarter patch panel (because of a hit there) in which they placed the lower feature line (the body crease line just above the lower rear chrome molding) a full inch too high. This is quite something considering that the other side of the car still has the factory complete quarter. Similarly, the left fender was replaced, and the cornering lamp was installed 2 inches too far forward! Again, the right fender is original and no one bothered to walk 6 feet to the other side of the car?

Frustrating, like the stack of pennies they had placed between the seat leg and the floor to lift the inner rear. The reason the seat was crooked without the pennies was that someone must have run the electric seat up or down without the right cable connected resulting in the left and right worm gears not being synced. Took about ten minutes to sync them and bingo, no pennies and the seat is level. I wonder how long those pennies were, they look like they had patinaed together for many years!

Thanks Apple for the return of the mysterious flipping photos. They are upright on my phone and computer but flip magically when posted to the site.

You can see in these pictures that the left corner lamp is way too far forward versus the correct factory original right fender. The left fender probably was NOS (no sign of a patch on the bottom corner where even desert cream puffs cars rust). This is also evident by the crooked GTO fender emblem, they must have drilled the three holes (NOS or non-GTO versions don't have the emblem holes) and got one hole a little off, rather than reeming out the holes a bit they forced the emblem in, distorting it in the process so the "O" is cockeyed.

This will all be addressed this winter. People ask me why I love survivor cars so much? My answer is that every restored car I come across makes me love survivors more ;-)

Maybe the prior owner had reverse OCD or something like that? Couldn't stand it when things were symmetrical side to side and front to back?

Or they, kind of correctly, figured you can’t see two sides of a car at the same time!

Amen about survivor cars. So many cars have been "restored" and unless great attention to detail is observed some are "cobbled" together. A survivor may not be as shiny but I really admire seeing factory assembly.

Way to go North !!
An extremely beautiful and luxurious HotRod RamAir GTO
Always gets me frisky to see one with factory cruise control too.

Upper Exec company cars of that timeframe usually maxed out around $5500
At over $5700 the Car certainly has a story and too bad no one knows it.
Maybe you have already inquired with PHS about possible multiple invoices ?

Appears they got every meaningful option available on an Automatic car, and then some.
It is Very Awesome

After the Ram Air and AC, I think the option I’m most envious of is the reclining passenger seat.
