Making 17749's quieter?
Hi all,
Is there any way to reduce the resonance at around 2000 RPM caused by the 17749's? I like these mufflers overall, but 2000 RPM is a pretty common place to be, and the resonance at this speed is pretty bad. Does anyone make external "shells" that fit over these to reduce the sound? If not, what is the next step quieter beyond a 17749? (This is on a 70 GTO 400 4-speed with a 60916) Thanks, Fred

I'd be curious if it is the curved pieces inside that actually vibrate at certain RPM's in certain cars ?
