Default 65 gto wheel tire combo

I m very interested in changing out my present wheel tire combination ( redline and rally one, 14x6) cragar ss which blackwall tires. 15 in seems the best availability but I am undecided on the width and bacjk spaceing. I an thinking 15x7 on front and 15x8 on the rear, Do I go with a revered pattern? and what tire sixes to fill the wheel wells.
Thanks for any and all help.

The limiting factor with Cragar SS rims is the backspacing. 15x7 only has 4.125" and the 15x8 has 4.25" BS.

If you have the original drum brakes and the original narrow rear end in your car, a 235/60/15 (215/65/15 will work) should work up front and 255/60/15 should work out back.

I ran this combo on my '64 with 15x7's with 4.25" BS and I have the wider rear end.

The photos below are from about 10 years ago with that combo.
